Joe Suroviec

JoeBio
Captain Joseph Suroviec has always been an artist at heart. From his early days slashing a crayon on the wall, to the detailed paintings that now take over 100 hours to complete, his artwork has come full circle. A 1984 graduate from the prestigious Columbus College of Art and Design, his client list reads like a who’s who list in the sport fishing industry. Mako, Pursuit, Hewes Maverick, Pathfinder, Mercury, Embassy Marine and SeaCraft are just some of the manufacturers who have relied on Joe’s talents to represent their company. Other clients of Joe’s outside the fishing industry include Coca Cola, Pepsi, and Anheuser Busch.

Joe has designed apparel lines for Florida Sportsman, Saltwater Sportsman, and Bassmaster, some of the world’s largest fishing organizations. Although his artistic versatility remains his strong suit, his real passion is for the art of sport fishing. With over 35 years of fishing experience, this artist/fisherman has traveled the globe. From multiple Blue Marlin releases to dry fly fishing for pond bluegills, this guy is a tried and true “fishaholic”.

Joe is a Coast Guard approved captain with a 100-ton endorsement and operates a 25-foot Mako center console in Marathon, Florida Keys. His art is currently being licensed through American Custom Enterprises of West Palm Beach and his reproductions and originals are handled by Bill Cunningham of the Pegasus Group of New York City. As his exposure continues to escalate, the world will soon see that this fishaholic has quite a bit to offer to the world of sport fishing and sport fishing art. This is definitely one fish that should not be allowed to get away.
